Requirements

  • Operating Systems: Windows, MacOS, Linux
  • Blender 2.93 or higher
  • For the "HERO" module: Blender 4.02 or higher is required due to the usage of Geometry Nodes.

Warning

The One Click Damage (OCD) add-on may or may not function correctly with experimental, alpha, or beta builds of Blender. Please use caution when using these versions.

Installation

Follow these steps to install the OCD Add-On in Blender:

Note

You can get the OCD Add-On in two types: Full and Lite. The Full type has everything, but the Lite type has only the basic stuff. Installing them is done the same way for both.

  1. Download the add-on file: The file will be named ocd_addon_(version).zip, where (version) is the version number of the add-on.
  2. Open Blender: Launch the Blender application on your computer.
  3. Go to the Preferences: Click on Edit from the menu, then select Preferences.
  4. Navigate to the Add-ons tab: In the Preferences window, click on the Add-ons tab.
  5. Install the add-on: Click on the Install... button at the top of the Add-ons tab. This will open a file browser.
  6. Select the add-on file: Navigate to where you saved the ocd_addon_(version).zip file, click on it to select it, and then click Install Add-on.
  7. Enable the add-on: Back in the Preferences window, you should see the add-on in the list now. There will be a checkbox next to it. Click on this checkbox to enable the add-on.
  8. Save Preferences: If you want the add-on to remain enabled every time you start Blender, click the Save Preferences button at the bottom of the Preferences window. If you don't save your preferences, the add-on will be disabled the next time you start Blender.

Installing the OCD Add-On in Blender Manually

Follow these steps to manually install or update the OCD Add-On in Blender:

  1. Remove the existing add-on folder: With Blender closed, navigate to Blender's addons directory and remove the existing ocd_addon folder.
  2. Extract the new add-on file: In your Downloads location, extract the ocd_addon_(version).zip file.
  3. Install the new add-on folder: Copy the ocd_addon folder from the extracted zip file to Blender's addons directory.
  4. Verify installation: Open Blender, go to Edit -> Preferences -> Add-ons and ensure the add-on is listed and enabled.

Updating the OCD Add-On in Blender

Follow these steps to update the OCD Add-On in Blender:

  1. Open Blender: Launch the Blender application on your computer.
  2. Go to the Preferences: Click on Edit from the menu, then select Preferences.
  3. Navigate to the Add-ons tab: In the Preferences window, click on the Add-ons tab.
  4. Disable the add-on: Find the OCD Add-On in the list and click the checkbox next to it to disable it.
  5. Remove the add-on: With the add-on disabled, click on the Remove button to remove it. Confirm if a dialog pops up.
  6. Install the updated add-on: Follow the same steps as installing a new add-on: Click on the Install... button at the top of the Add-ons tab. This will open a file browser. Navigate to where you saved the updated ocd_addon_(version).zip file, click on it to select it, and then click Install Add-on.
  7. Enable the updated add-on: Back in the Preferences window, you should see the updated add-on in the list now. Click on the checkbox next to it to enable it.
  8. Save Preferences: If you want the add-on to remain enabled every time you start Blender, click the Save Preferences button at the bottom of the Preferences window. If you don't save your preferences, the add-on will be disabled the next time you start Blender.
