One Click Damage
OCD is a Blender add-on designed to add damage details to various types of objects made from materials like rock, brick, concrete, and more. It's important to note that OCD is intended for creating surface details, not for simulating destruction effects.
OCD simulates damage that typically occurs from weathering and mechanical impacts over time. The add-on primarily affects the most exposed, convex areas of objects—such as edges, corners, and protruding surfaces. These convex parts are more likely to be smoothed or rounded because they are more exposed to external forces like weather, erosion, and impact. The steeper the angle of the surface, the more pronounced the damage will be, as these areas are especially vulnerable.
On the other hand, surfaces with beveled edges or continuous convex shapes, like spheres, are more resistant to damage. Beveled edges distribute impact forces more evenly, reducing the likelihood of chipping or breaking.
I’ve spent months in Europe studying architecture, ancient ruins, and old buildings, visiting museums, and the insights from that experience have influenced the design and functionality of OCD. The add-on is built to replicate the natural aging processes I observed in historical architecture and various objects.
