The OCD Control Panel is part of the One Click Damage UI, offering additional operators to streamline the workflow within the OCD add-on.
Change Pattern
This operator randomly changes the noise position, similar to Noise Seed
Note
You can use it to treat some Boolean errors.
Sync Damage
This operator allows you to synchronize damage parameters across multiple objects.
Create Mask
Limitations
Currently, the Mask feature does not support complex objects that contain multiple meshes combined into one.
Warning
The Mask feature is the first implementation of masking for the OCD add-on. Future updates will bring improvements and enhancements.
The Create Mask operator allows you to create a mask for the selected object to "erase" damage from certain parts of the object.
Note
Once the mask is added to the Mask Texture field, the Create Mask button changes to Edit Mask. By holding the Ctrl
key and clicking on Edit Mask, you can reset the mask to its default state (erase all mask data to start over, if needed).
By clicking the Create Mask button, OCD will automatically:
- Create a new image for the mask.
- Switch the 3D View to Paint Mode, allowing you to draw directly on your selected object.
- Turn on the Damage Highlight checkbox to clearly see the damaged area.
Due to Blender restrictions, you should manually select the Mask Image in the Mask Texture field of the OCD Modifier. The mask image will follow this naming pattern: OCD_Mask.01_object_name
.
Painting the Mask
- Brush Scale Adjustment: Press the
F
key and move your mouse cursor to adjust the brush size. - Brush Falloff Adjustment: Use the
Shift + F
key combination to control the brush falloff. - Mask Colors:
- White: Erase the damage by painting over the selected area.
- Black: Clear the mask to reveal the damage area again.
- Switching Colors: Quickly toggle between black and white colors using the
X
key.
When you finish with the mask, press the Finish Mask button on the OCD Control Panel to return to Object Mode.
Note
The Mask Image is automatically stored in your Blender file. However, Blender may prompt you to save it when closing the scene or exiting the program. Be sure to click Yes to avoid losing your work.
Warning
To paint the mask, your object must have a UV map. You can create it manually or use OCD's Correct UVs checkbox for automation.
Bake / Clear Bake
These operators allow you to bake OCD damage into memory for selected objects, enabling you to make translation (Position, Rotation, Scale) changes freely without recalculating the damage each time.
Note
Remember to clear the bake if you need to make changes to the OCD Modifier.
Warning
Be sure to save your Blender project before using this operator.
On / Off
These operators allow you to turn the modifier off in the viewport display and turn it back on again.
Apply / Remove
These operators allow you to apply all OCD Modifiers to the selected object(s) or remove them.
