Installing Extensions in Blender 4.3
Blender 4.2 introduces a new system where add-ons are referred to as extensions. Here’s how you can easily install them:

.zip
file. - Open Blender 4.3
- Simply drag and drop the
.zip
file into the Blender viewport. - Blender will automatically install the extension, and it will appear in the Get Extensions tab under Preferences.
Method 2: Installation via Preferences
- Open Blender 4.3
- Go to the Edit menu and select Preferences.
- In the Preferences window, navigate to the Get Extensions tab located on the left side.
- Use the drop-down menu in the top right corner and select Install from Disk.
- Browse and select the
.zip
file of the extension you want to install. - Once installed, the extension will appear in the list under the Get Extensions tab.

.zip
files. - Follow either Method 1 or Method 2 above to install the extension.
- After installation, ensure both Trowel UI and Trowel Core are enabled in the Add-ons tab under Preferences.
